Teacher Collaboration
The Reflections Project is entering an exciting new phase, and we invite educators to help shape its future.
This fall, teachers are encouraged to implement the Reflections curriculum in their classrooms, collaborate with fellow educators, and provide feedback that will strengthen and refine the program before its broader release. Whether you teach art, history, English language arts, science, or social studies, your classroom experience and ideas will help ensure the curriculum is engaging, relevant, and meaningful for students across Maine.
Project Timeline
Curriculum Development Phase
January 2026 – August 2026
The Community Curator developed the curriculum framework and launched the project’s first Student Plein Air experience.
Curriculum Refinement Phase
August 2026 – March 2027
Educators are invited to pilot the curriculum, collaborate with the Reflections team, share feedback, and help refine lessons, activities, and resources for statewide implementation.
Curriculum Execution Phase
March 2027 – June 2027
The finalized curriculum will be implemented more broadly, with expanded teacher participation, student engagement opportunities, and the continued growth of the Reflections Project.
Teachers who participate during the refinement phase will become part of a collaborative network helping to shape the future of place-based education in Maine. They will also receive early access to future curriculum updates and be among the first invited to participate in next year’s Reflections Plein Air experiences and related student programming.
