Rick McGibbon in Concert
March 18 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

A St Patrick’s presentation! $10.00 admission to support the arts!
Richard R. McGibbon Jr. (everyone calls him Rick) has a strong Irish influence on both sides of his family (nee Murphy) and music was always the main strength of any family get together. Rick started playing guitar when he was about 12 and played in local bands. But soon returned to the music of his childhood, Irish folk music. Rick has performed his Irish Pub songs in Maine, New Brunswick and even had the opportunity to perform at Kitty O’Shea’s in Dublin, Ireland. He loves to share this Irish musical heritage with all and hopefully passes it on to a new generation.
The music Ricks performs, known as Pub Songs in Ireland, are melodies that have been used with new lyrics every hundred years or so. Some have Rick’s own lyrics. He also tries to pass on a little Irish history and humor mixed in with the songs.
You’ll enjoy ” Whiskey in the Jar; Rosin the Bow; The Hills of Connemara; The Wild Rover; and Galway Girl ” and many other favorites.
