April Vacation Camp Poetry Showcase
Celebrating Youth Voices & Community Creativity
On Tuesday, April 21, 2026 the Boreal Theater was proud to welcome students from the Katahdin Learning Project, a program of Friends of Katahdin Woods & Waters, for a special April Vacation Camp visit centered around poetry, creativity, and community.
During their time at the theater, students participated in a behind-the-scenes tour, explored the stage and performance space, and shared original poems inspired by the theme Caring for Our Community. Their thoughtful writing and willingness to share their voices made for a meaningful and inspiring afternoon during National Poetry Month.
